Cecelia M. Geisinger

Cecelia M. Geisinger, 81, of Luzerne, passed away on February 5, 2023 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born October 5, 1941 in Luzerne a daughter of the late John and Hazel Rielly Pope. She attended Luzerne High School and was formerly employed at West Side Sewing and Heffron’s Mini Market.

Cecelia always had a joke to tell and wanted to make people laugh.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel L. Geisinger and brothers, Joseph and Jack Pope.

Surviving are her son James Joseph Pope and his wife Karen Gensel Pope, Nanticoke; grandchildren, Cara Marie Watson, Ashley Marie Earlley, Brittany Lynn Pope, Samantha Lee Pope, James J. Pope, Jr; great grandchildren, Peytin Watson, Strat Watson, Kylie Pope, Farrah Mae Freeman; brother, Michael Pope; sisters Hazel Southwell and Isabel Hoskins; many nieces and nephews.
