Dorothy S. Blannard

Dorothy S. Blannard, 81, of West Wyoming passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre. She was born January 19, 1941 in Wilkes-Barre a daughter of the late Donald and Catherine Evans Payne.

A 1958 graduate of Luzerne High School with high honors she was employed by the Social Security Administration for 25 years. Dorothy enjoyed being with her family, watching Penn State football, traveling and was fond of music.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne and was formerly a parishioner of St. John Nepomucene Church.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Edward G. Blannard; children, Edward A. Blannard and his wife Karen, Selbyville, DE, Mark Blannard, Wayne, PA, Paul Blannard and his wife Nicole, Miflinburg, PA, Linda Ray and her husband Jeff, Orefield, PA; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Matthew, Madison, Cailynn, Kate; sisters, Joanie Payne, Sharon Iorio; brothers Dale and John Payne and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:15 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, 574 Bennett Street, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. John Nepomucene Cemetery, Courtdale.
