Dorothy Stone

Dorothy Stone of Kingston passed away on December 9, 2020. Born in Courtdale to the late Joseph and Mary Chisarick Blanard she was educated in Luzerne and graduated from Kingston High School and the Wyoming Seminary Dean School of Business. After meeting and marrying her husband she enlisted in the Navy and spent the years during the Korean War in Virginia Beach. After the war she relocated to Kingston where she raised three children. Dorothy loved her children and was involved in all of their activities. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Dorothy and son-in-law Stephen Mosko. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Jerome Stone; sons, Jerry, Donald and his wife Debbie. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, December 15 at St. Mary's Pokrova Byzantine Catholic Church, Chestnut Street, Kingston. Interment will be held with interment in the parish cemetery, Pringle. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Byzantine Church, Kingston at a later date. If attending please observe social distancing and masks are required. Arrangements are by Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Ltd., Luzerne.
