Elizabeth Fahey

Elizabeth Voitek Fahey “Betsy” 85, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of May 12, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 20, 1941, in Luzerne, to Stephen and Anna Voitek, Betsy was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a devoted member of Holy Family Parish. Her greatest joys in life were her deep faith and the love she shared with her family.

Betsy was preceded in death by her sister, Bernadine Voitek Kritzberger, and her brothers, Bernard Voitek, Richard Voitek, Robert Voitek, and Raymond Voitek.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, George Fahey; her children, Maureen McGovern, Michael Fahey, Steven Fahey, and Susan Fahey; as well as six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom brought tremendous joy to her life.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Saturday, May 23, beginning at 8:30 am at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. next door at Holy Family Parish.

Betsy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her devotion to family, and the kindness and love she shared with everyone around her.
