Florence Resetar

Florence Resetar, 88, of Swoyersville passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Allied Services Hospice Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre. She was born September 8, 1936 in Swoyersville a daughter of the late Walter and Anna Jakon.

She was a 1954 graduate of Swoyersville High School and was formerly employed at Wyoming Area High School as a "lunch lady" and they retired from Valley Crest where she worked as a switch board operator. Florence enjoyed shopping, bus trips to the casino, watching football and being with her family. She was a member and Christian Mother of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Resetar; sons Mark and John Resetar; sister, Eleanor Hemmingway.

Surviving are her daughter Kim Resetar; son Jay Resetar; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
