George J. Kopack

George J. Kopack of Edwardsville passed away on August 21, 2024 just 10 days short of his 101st birthday.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was employed at the former International Color Printing Company and Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority.

George enjoyed hunting and fishing and shooting horseshoes.  He also liked to go to Pocono Downs to watch the horse races.

He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine and son Daniel.

Surviving are his sons George, Emerson, NJ, Kevin (Kathleen), Swoyersville, Brian, Edwardsville; grandaughter Ashley.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Bennett Street, Luzerne. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery Bear Creek. Arrangements are by Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Ltd., Luzerne.
