Harold J. Mcdermott

Harold J. McDermott, of Luzerne passed away on January 3, 2022 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was born September 3, 1959 in Wilkes-Barre a son of the late Harold and Josephine Austra McDermott. He was a life time resident of Luzerne and attended St. John Nepomucene School and Wyoming Valley West High School. He formerly owned the North Street Café and played softball on several championship teams. He was an avid pool player and competed nationally in several tournaments. Surviving are his wife, Alicia; brother, David McDermott, Luzerne; niece Jessica McDermott, Forty Fort; nephew, David McDermott Jr., Forty Fort. The funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, 568 Bennett Street, Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in Holy Family Parish. Private interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9 - 10 a.m.
