Heather Frances Whittaker O’Gorman, 61, of Pringle, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2023.
Heather was predeceased by her father, Kenneth Whittaker. She is survived by her husband, James P. O’Gorman IV, and her daughter Aimee Cheryl Cooney [Chad Cooney]. She is also survived by her mother Cheryl Tuckerman [Bruce Tuckerman], and her siblings Kenneth Whittaker [Kimberly Whittaker], Lisa Pillmear [Michael Pillmear], Mark Whittaker [Erin Whittaker], Kevin Whittaker [Nerina Whittaker], and Cami Collison [Robert Collison]. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Heather was an avid ornithophile who spent decades watching and documenting local bird life, raising birds, and lovingly caring for them. Heather was a wonderful gardener and was known for creating beautiful gardens and offering helpful advice on the creation and care of them. She was known for her creativity and artistry, having created wedding cakes and paintings for many years. Heather would write poetry in her earlier years and even wrote a short story series for the enjoyment of her daughter when she was young.
She struggled greatly with her health but always made sure to let her family know how much they were loved and missed. Her latest project in the works was a family cookbook to celebrate her family and a desire for connection that spanned across states. The world lost a little of its light the day she died, and she will be forever loved and missed. We love you, mom.
