Helene Donachie

Helene Donachie of Luzerne, passed away June 16, 2026, in the Wilkes Barre General Hospital.

Helene was born March 21, 1946, in Pittsfield, MA to John and Helen Donachie. She graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School. She was a resident of Highland Manor in Exeter at the time of her death, but previously lived in Luzerne Towers.

Helene was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Terry Donachie.

Helene is survived by her sister, Mary Romanosky of Exeter, nieces and nephews, Maureen and Keith Younger, Francine Donachie, Sean Donachie, Gene and Susie Romanosky, Susan and Mark Seube, Jayne Romanosky, Neil Romanosky, great-nephews Michael Younger, Joachim Romanosky, Nathan Thomas, and great-niece Sophia Romanosky.

A Mass of Christian Burial  will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Bennett Street, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call Saturday from 9 - 10 a.m. at the church.
