Irene Finley

December 18, 1927 — October 12, 2022

Irene Finley, 94, formally of Luzerne passed away on Wednesday October 12, 2022 at Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing in Wilkes-Barre.

A lifelong resident of Luzerne, Irene was born December 18, 1927 to the late Stephen and Rose Lazar Syroid. Irene was a 1945 graduate of Luzerne High School and was employed by several local garment factories and Nesbitt Hospital. She was member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband Thomas and daughter Kathleen Finley and several brothers and sisters.

Irene is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:15 in Holy Family Parish, Bennett Street, Luzerne. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
