Margaret Ziminski

Margaret Jane “Peggy” Ziminski, age 97 of Shavertown, PA, passed away peacefully, with loved ones, at home on March 22, 2026. 

Peggy was born and raised in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, the eldest child of John and Martha Handley, and the beloved wife of the late Henry Ziminski.

She was the sister of the late Marie Spencer and the late Dr. John Handley; the mother of John Ziminski of Shavertown and Bonnie Georgiou (husband Jack) of Philadelphia; and the grandmother of Kyrie Georgiou (wife Dr. Jenna) of Providence, Rhode Island and Maria Georgiou of London, England.

Burial and celebration of life will be private.

She was beautiful, but more importantly, she had a beautiful, fun-loving soul that loved being around people.
