Max F. Zier

Max F. Zier, 81, of Luzerne passed away on March 4, 2025 at Sacred Heart Hospice, Dunmore. He was born in Luzerne a son of Max and Celia Yurchek Zier.

He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Kingston and was formerly employed at Leslie Fay. Max enjoyed fly fishing and shuffleboard and played a variety of sports. In his younger years he was an undefeated amateur boxer.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, who passed away in 1984.

Surviving are his children, Max Zier and wife Michelle; Irene Zier; Christine Tomcho and husband Ed; Louis Zier; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held.
