Philip J. Storz

Philip J. Storz, 83 formerly of Shavertown passed away on February 14, 2025. He was born in Wilkes-Barre a son of the late Gerald and Rose Kindler Storz.

A 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School he was formerly employed at Oscar Smith Company and later operated his own cleaning company. Philip enjoyed bowling, golf, watching westerns and going to the casino.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Christiansen Storz in 1997.

Surviving are his companion of 25 years, Fran Walsh, nieces, nephews, and his friend Rosalie who assisted for the past few years.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Ltd., 568 Bennett Street, Luzerne. Services will be conducted by his nephew, Rev. Shaun Ake-Little. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
