Ronald J. Snyder

Ronald J. Snyder, 66, of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at his home with his wife and son at his side. He was born February 8, 1955 in Kingston, PA; the son of Rita Matkins Snyder and the late Victor Snyder. He was a 1973 graduate of Central Catholic High School where he lettered in golf. Ron was employed for Gulf Oil for over 30 years. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family especially his granddaughter Mackenzie. He also loved his yearly time in Florida spent with his family and extended family. Surviving in addition to his mother are his loving wife of 37 years, Theresa (Schwartz) Snyder, Swoyersville, PA; sons, Matthew Snyder, Austin, TX; Gregory Snyder and his partner Kristofer Erdman, Dunmore, PA; and his granddaughter Mackenzie Snyder, Nanticoke, PA. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The funeral will be held Friday 10/8/21 at 10:00 a.m. from Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Ltd, 568 Bennett Street, Luzerne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Parish. Interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Lehman. Friends and family may call Thursday 10/7/21 5-8 p.m. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron’s name to the American Cancer Society.
