Sophie Zimniski

Sophie Zimniski, 96, of Luzerne, passed away on June 15, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains.

She was born in Pittsburgh and was employed in the local garment industry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; sisters, Dolores and Loretta, and brother Fred.

Surviving are her children, Linda Partlon (Shelley), Judy Florio (John), John Zimniski (Barbara), Thomas Zimniski (Marcia) , Steve Zimniski (Eileen); 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass which will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, 574 Bennett Street, Luzerne. Following the Mass a reception will be held in the parish hall.
