Tessa Rose Ridilla, 27, of Kingston, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 8, 2021, at home. Born in May of 1993 in Kingston, she was the beloved daughter of Sheila Husted and Bruce Ridilla, Sr. She was a 2011 graduate of Wyoming Area High School and proud to follow in her father’s footsteps as a Corrections Officer at SCI Dallas for the past 2 years. Tessa was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Richard Husted; great grandparents, Gilbert & Martha Husted; great grandmothers, Rebecca Grey and Theresa Campanella. Left to cherish her memory in addition to her parents are: brothers, Garrett Engle, Kingston; special cousin who was like a brother, Tristan (Teala) Halliday, Mohnton; Bruce (Ashley) Ridilla, Jr., Northglenn, Colorado; David (Sarah) Ridilla, Springfield; maternal grandmother, Alma Husted, Forty Fort; paternal grandparents, Bernie and Shirley Leandri, Swoyersville; aunts, Wenda (Tim) Halliday, Moscow; Cheryl Papilon, Port Deposit, Maryland; uncles, Marty (Michelle) Leandri, Shavertown; Bernard (Denise) Ridilla, Towanda; and best friend since 4th grade, Elena DeAngelo, Wyoming. Family and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, 568 Bennett Street, Luzerne. A memorial service will be conducted with Reverend Jim Pall officiating immediately following visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tessa’s name to the Diabetes Action Research & Education Foundation at www.diabetesaction.org.
