Thomas J. Tonkin

Thomas J. Tonkin, 55, of Luzerne, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 23, 1967 in Manchester, CT, a son of the late Albert and Doris Tonkin. He was a 1985 graduate of Wyoming Area High School. Tom enjoyed being with his family, playing with his pet dogs Rusty and Joey and working in the yard. He liked following Notre Dame football, the Washington Commanders (Redskins), and the Boston Red Sox. Surviving are his brothers, Albert Tonkin, Richard Tonkin, sister, Dottie Tonkin, nephews, Zachary and Noah. The funeral will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10:30 a..m. at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Ltd., 568 Bennett Street, Luzerne. Services will be conducted by Rev. Jarrod Waugh, C.S.C. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
