Vincent (Bill) Quather, of Luzerne passed into eternal life on October 8, 2022. A life long resident of Luzerne Vince was a member of Holy Family Parish.
He was a graduate of Luzerne High School and also King’s College, class of 1951. Upon graduation from King’s he was employed by Office of Price Stabilization, Washington, DC and subsequently by General Motors Acceptance Corporation, retiring in 1985 after 33 years of service.
Vince was an Army veteran having served in the Pacific theater of operations.
Surviving are his son, Joseph and his wife Connie, Alloway, New Jersey; daughter Mary Ann Weitz and her husband Howard, Avoca; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
In addition to his parents Dominick and Anna Quather he was preceded in death by his wife, Regina; brothers Peter and Joseph; sisters Helen Quather and Madeline Chukinas.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:15 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, 574 Bennett Street, Luzerne. Interment will be private. Friends may call Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
